A Housewife’s Tale episode 121

Christmas week!!! I did a whole post on our Christmas Eve & Christmas Day eats in Vegas so some of this is gonna be a little repetitive but necessary to keep my weekly updates consistent~ We had a busy 4 days leading up to our weekend in Vegas, which included a 3 hour interview in the city and two long days at work.

.

Sunday – Went to the mall before running some errands. I was excited to see that SGD Tofu House now has a stall at the food court! We got the Bulgogi set that is served with kimchi & japchae.

Dinner was pan fried salmon belly w soy sauce & pea shoots.

.

.

Monday – After a long 9 hrs at work, I really didn’t feel like cooking so I prepared a quick Onion & Egg omelet to eat with rice.

.

.

Tuesday – Dinner was a quick Black Bean Spareribs and leftover Egg & onion Omelet. (pretty obvious that I was a little tired n lazy after 9 hrs in the bank!)

.

.

Wednesday – After an interview in the city; Meep and I decided to go out for dinner. I have been wanting to revisit Sushi Infinity across the street eventhough Meep was against it. Their standards have improved a little since our last visit but was still far from what they were when they first opened.

.

.

Thursday – I didn’t want to cook tonight since we had to turn in early to wake up at 5 am to catch a  flight. We haven’t had ramen in a while so we went to our favourite Ramen Tenma! I finally tried the Dipping noodles, which were very good!

Tonight was suppose to be the night of the Winter Solstice, where families get together for a reunion dinner. No family around us BUT I had to prepare the traditional glutinous rice ball dessert. It didn’t turn out so well and looked a little blah. 🙁

.

.

Friday – VEGAS!!! After checking in and then meeting up w the parents, youngest SIL & S, we headed out for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. Father in law was walking down memory lane from all the music they were playing, which we found so adorable!!! Great way to start our little Xmas vacation.

Our very first night meant dinner at Stripsteak where we feasted on American Kobe, Foie Gras, Lobster, Truffle Mac & Cheese and more~

Then I  met up w Bestie when they got in from Vancouver at Burger Bar. I could not sit and watch them eat so I had some Nutella Milkshake!!!

.

.

Saturday – Merry Christmas (Eve)!!! First off brunch with bestie & fiance at Bouchon

Dinner was at Fleur by Hubert Keller~

I am typing this as week 122 is ending but I can’t wait for our New Year Eve dinner at Nojo in SF w SK & A. Till next week AND a new year!!!
