Pizza Dough – Recipe here. I used the same recipe but stretch out the dough thinner than usual because I feel that this pizza would fit a thin crust better.
.
For the sauce, I used this recipe from The Cooking Photographer as a guideline.
Here is what I used and did:
Garlic cream sauce:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup Romano Cheese (or Parmesan, add a pinch of salt if using Parmesan)
1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
.
Step 1: Melt butter and olive oil
Step 2: Add minced garlic, saute till fragrant (not browned or burnt)
Step 3: Turn heat to medium low and add cream and pepper
Step 4: Add cheese and whisk constantly
Step 5: Reduce sauce until thick consistency.
.
.
For the pizza (enough for a medium pizza):
1 chicken breast (cooked and cut up)
6 strips of bacon
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped parsley
Parmesan cheese (I used Asiago cheese because that is what I had in the fridge but I think Parmesan cheese would taste better)
.
Step 1 – Prepare dough. Let rise for about 5 minutes, pop into 425F for about 5 minutes.
Step 2 – Spread garlic cream sauce
Step 3 – Add chicken
Step 4 – Add mushrooms ( I know this is not in a carbonara but I like mushrooms~)
Step 5 – Add bacon (cut up into bite size pieces)
Step 6 – Add parsley
Step 7 – Add cheese, add as much as you like but do not overdo it because it might get salty.
Step 8 – Pop into 425 F oven for about 10 minutes
.
.
DONE!
