A housewife’s tale episode 19

19!!! As the number of weeks increase, I continue to be amazed. ^___^ There wasn’t a lot of cooking this week at all. I think last week got me a little lazy since we ate out so much. And this week is no different. Time flew by and we are now approaching the end of Jan. I will be cooking less the next few mths coz I will be actually studying for my exams.

Neways…
.
Sunday – we spent the whole day in SF and instead of repeating myself. Had dim sum at Great Eastern and dinner at Nick’s Lighthouse at Fisherman’s Wharf.
.
.
Monday – Had dinner at San Pedro Bistro and Wine Bar.. already posted here
.
.
Tuesday- Had no inspiration AT ALL! So i looked thru my freezer and found some perogies I made over a month ago. Just dropped them into boiling water, pan fried in butter and served with polish sausage~ Not bad…

Wednesday – Believe it or not, we had…. SALADS! I have no evidence of it but we did! We really did. All the pigging out made us feel a little blubbery. We have been eating chocolates cake, candy, sweet buns and ice cream every night for a late night snack for the past 5 nights! I broiled some chicken breasts and served them over a bed of butter lettuce. I added a boil egg on mine n some Honey dijon dressing. It was pretty darn good~

Thursday – Still trying to eat a little light n non greasy. I cooked chicken congee! I like mine with pickled cabbage but Meep has his plain w green onions n some light soy sauce.

Meep didn’t want congee for his lunch, so I made mini Hawaiian pizza using mini bagels and pita bread that I had in the freezer. I love when I spontaneously come up with ways to use up what I have lying around. I got sandwich ham in case the in laws wanted a sandwich snack.

Look at the cute mini bagels!!!

The pita version turned out yummier. They were like very thin crust pizza (coz I spilt 1 pita into two mini pizzas), And my pizza sauce made off canned tomatoes and additional seasonings make them even better coz I can adjust the pizza sauce to my liking.

Friday – We are pigs. yes.. we are. We were looking through my food pictures last night and ended up craving sushi. I think we both miss having sushi once a week or at least once a couple weeks in Vancouver. We ended up heading to Sushi Infinity for all you can eat sushi. Every since Sushi Infinity opened in Oct, we have been there 4 times. I still love it
.
.
We had our usual stuff so I dint take a lot of pictures. We had Sake, Tai, hamachi, Shrimp tempura, Saba and Beef tataki nigri; Tokyo roll, UFO roll, Anthony roll, Sushi Lover rolls.
.
The portions were smaller this visit which we both preferred. This allowed us toe at more rolls than we did the past 3 visits coz the rolls were smaller. ^o^

Saturday – we are not doing so well in our “diet”. Had in N out burgers after meep’s hockey game. They lost AGAIN! 4 games in a row… this is getting depressing. I told him I am not gonna watch the next game.

And for dinner I cooked some Beef curry w long bean and roti. I love buying the frozen roti pratha. So easy to make and taste pretty close to the ones you can get in Asia. Just a little less flaky.

No wait… It has been a while since I posted a recipe or step by step… Maybe next week. I am going to try plan a menu for next week and see how close I can follow my “plan”. Till next post!!!
