A Housewife’s Tale episode 84

Taking a break from the Brunei food reviews, so here is another week of this housewife’s menu~

Sunday – I asked Meep what he felt like eating for dinner, which was a huge mistake because he always ask for the same stuff and this past few weeks it has been “RIBS!”. Since I asked, I figured I had to give him what he wanted.

Black Bean spare ribs (They taste better than they look, really!)

Monday – A & I went to Incanto for the 8th Annual Head to Tail Dinner. I can’t say I loved the food but it was definitely a culinary experience.

For the first course, we had the Venison Liver Crudo. Raw liver is really not what I would say tasty… The texture took a lot of getting used to.

Lamb tongue & kidney. Another body part I probably won’t try again. The tongue was tasty but liver had the weirdest aftertaste.

Tuesday – Taiwanese style popcorn chicken, Tom Yam Shrimp & Garlic peashoots. I was pretty proud of myself for such a complete spread! Just missing a soup but it has been too warm for soups.

Wednesday – I was craving pork chops but I knew Meep doesn’t like the sweet sour sauce I always cook, I made him some steak pepper sauce and for myself the sweet sour sauce. Along with some broccoli & shrooms.

Thursday – Cajun broiled chicken (which made a huge mess in my newly cleaned oven. Grrrr) served with rice n veggies.

Friday – Mentaiko kimchi udon~ Simple quick and another Meep’s all time favourites.

.

Saturday –  Meep & I spent all day hanging out in the mall and then picking up groceries. When we got home, I took a nap then got too lazy to cook so we picked up some In & Out Burgers~
