Had a pretty good week filled with awesome food and some more driving. I am still stressed out when I am on the road  and have yet ventured to the freeways, but hopefully by next week I shall be more comfortable behind the wheel!

Sunday – I ran out of groceries and had to resort to a package mix of Briyani spice and whipped together Lamb Briyani in less than half an hour!

Monday – Meep kept talking about how we haven’t had fish at home in a while, so when I was out I picked up some Mackerel from Ranch 99. I wanted to get a bass or white pomphret for steaming but they didn’t look good.
Popped the fish in the grill and dinner was served! I didn’t think it was that much food, forgetting that Meep doesn’t need packed lunches anymore. So we ended up with a whole fish for leftovers!

Tuesday – Fried beef kwae tiau/chow fun. One of my favourite meals but I try not to cook it often coz we tend to overeat this all the time!!

Wednesday – Haven’t cooked Korean in a while, so a quick Bibimbap for dinner~

Thursday – Went out w V for dinner to catch up since I haven’t seen her since I left in November! We went to her favourite place – Tai Pan in Palo Alto and these are my favourite dishes of the nite:

Friday – Meep wanted ramen but his favourite spot was closed by the time we were ready for dinner. We ended up getting some Yakitori at Gaku Yakitori. Here is a sample of what we had:

Saturday – Another quick but delicious meal – Chicken Teriyaki with pea shoots & a soft boiled egg.. 🙂

Slowly getting back into the groove of cooking again! Maybe a more interesting menu next week~
