Place Pigalle – Seattle, WA

S and I had a voucher to go here so we ventured out in the rain and found this place tucked away in a small alley in Pike’s Place Market.

The restaurant was actually really cute, and had a great view of Pike’s Place Market and Puget Sound.

Inside the Restaurant

Here is what we dined on:

Complimentary Bread

Cream of Broccoli Soup

I had the cream of broccoli soup and it was okay. It didn’t taste like your classic cream of broccoli soup, something seemed a little bit off. I ended up switching S for his appetizer, shown below.

Onion Soup Gratinée with Gruyère, Hidalgo Cream Sherry

The french onion soup was pretty tasty. It had a LOT of cheese, which was fantastic, since we all know that’s what makes a proper french onion soup.

Steak with Mushrooms, Truffle Potatoes and Micro Arugula

I ordered the steak as my main and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! Every single aspect of this dish was fantastic. I am a sucker for truffles, so the potatoes were incredible. The micro arugula really added to the flavor of the dish, which was pleasantly surprising.

Bouillabaisse Provençale. Seasonal Fish, Dungeness Crab, Clams, Mussels, Prawn, Saffron- Tomato Broth, Crostini Rouille

A Shrimp that Fell Off

S really liked his entree. It doesn’t look like it, but there is a lot of food in that bowl! He said they were the best mussels he’s ever had, and the sauce was really tasty. I didn’t have much of his meal, since I was too busy savoring every bite of mine.

Classic Creme Brulee

There weren’t many choices for dessert, but I was craving something sweet so we decided to try the creme brulee. Let me tell you, I am really picky about my creme brulee, but this one did NOT disappoint. The creme was perfectly consistent and flavorful, and the top was extra crispy. It was perfect.

The Damage $96.25

Total Damage: $96.25 (including tax, excluding tip)

Personal Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (Great)

The service was good and the good was great. The restaurant itself was very welcoming and attractive. We would definitely go back to Place Pigalle! We thought it was great value and I’m officially adding it to one of my favorite meals in Seattle.
